Academe Roles at the School of Management, Asia Pacific College
Full-Time Tourism Management Program Director
The Tourism Management Program Director will be administratively responsible for the Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management program of Asia Pacific College. He or she will report directly to the Executive Director of the School of Management.
Responsibilities
- – Prepare subject offerings every term.
- – Assign suitable faculty (full-time and part-time) to subjects offered in a term.
- – Draw up term schedules of all student sections.
- – Recommend potential full-time and part-time faculty for hiring.
- – Mentor and coach new faculty in teaching methodologies and in the use of education technologies (Microsoft Teams, Openlearning, IBM Skillsbuild, LinkedIn Learning, Amadeus, etc.) in teaching.
- – Organize and oversee exposure trips and immersion programs.
- – Coordinate with the Internship Office on behalf of tourism management students that are about to go into internship.
- – Ensure that all syllabi are complete, up-to-date, industry relevant, and of quality.
- – Ensure that the tourism management program flowchart complies with CHED CMOs and accreditation standards at all times.
- – Assist the Executive Director of the School of Management in preparing documentation for accreditation purposes.
- – Attend conferences and external training programs as representative of the School of Management.
- – Spearhead academic research projects for the Tourism Management program.
- – Teach assigned subjects.
Qualifications
- – Must have:
- – a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism Management, Hospitality Management, or Institution Management.
- – a Master’s Degree in Tourism Management, Hospitality Management, Institution Management, Business Administration, or Business Management.
- – at least 7 years of work experience in tourism, hospitality, or institution management, 3 years of which should be in a managerial position.
- – at least 3 years of teaching experience in a higher-education tourism, hospitality, or institution management program.
- – Preferred:
- – with education administration experience in any capacity.
- – with or currently taking up a doctoral degree or a PhD in tourism, hospitality, or institution management; or in business studies, business management, or business administration.
Full-Time Business Administration Program Director
The Business Administration Program Director will be administratively responsible for the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration program of Asia Pacific College. He or she will report directly to the Executive Director of the School of Management. He or she will also have the opportunity to be promoted to the Executive Director role by the end of 2026.

Qualifications
- – Must have:
- – a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or any business-aligned course.
- – a Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Business Management.
- – at least 10 years of work experience in a managerial or executive capacity in a large corporate setting.
- – at least 7 years of teaching experience in a higher-education business or management program.
- – at least 5 years of higher education administration experience in a program director or administrator role.
- – Preferred:
- – completed or currently taking up a doctoral degree or a PhD in business studies, business administration, business management, or any business-focused program.
- – familiar with accreditation procedures of PAASCU, AUN, QS Ratings, and other local or international accreditation standards.
- – has published research in any scopus-indexed journal.
